Laura Wheeler, M.A.Ed., LPCC-S, IMFT-S

Owner/Therapist

Laura has her Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Akron. She is currently studying for her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy. She holds both a Professional Clinical Counselor license and a Marriage and Family Therapist license, both with supervisory endorsement. Laura has experience working with children and adolescents and their families via intensive home-based services as well as experiences in an outpatient mental health agency. She has a wide range of experiences at this agency, ranging from facilitating a Batterer’s Intervention Program and substance abuse groups for adults and teenagers, using The Incredible Years/Dina program to teach social skills to preschoolers, and providing services at the Huron County Jail. She has worked as a crisis counselor to assess for need for psychiatric hospitalization.  Laura is a certified Level 2 Gottman-trained couples therapist and also a trained Prepare/Enrich Facilitator. She also has completed First Responder’s Counselor training. Laura enjoys working with children as young as 5 through adulthood, as well as doing couples and family work.  Laura is also trained in EMDR therapy and TF-CBT to address trauma. Laura approaches many issues from a systemic and social justice lens and believes that clients have many roles in their lives that are all important to address.

Whitney Brown, M.S., LPC

Therapist

Whitney holds a Bachelor's degree in Art Education and a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Whitney is passionate about guiding individuals on a personalized journey of healing. She integrates a creative and holistic approach, combining art, writing, and energy exploration to help clients unlock their true potential and embrace their authentic selves. Whitney believes that healing is not one-size-fits-all and strives to create a supportive and empowering space where clients can explore their emotions, discover new insights, and cultivate lasting growth.
